Description
This diploma is a great choice for individuals who want to take the next step in their career in Bricklaying. Learners will be able to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and understanding so you can work as a Bricklayer within the construction industry and due to the diploma origin, learners do not need to be employed to take this qualification.
This qualification can be taken as part of an apprenticeship framework if desired and has the sole purpose of equipping learners to secure employment in Bricklaying.

Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction and Associated Industries
The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the knowledge to be deemed trained to carry out safe working practices in construction to:
- Sourcing relevant safety information and using the relevant safety procedures at work.
Repair and Maintain Masonry Structures
The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to be deemed trained to:
- select materials, components, tools and equipment
- repair and maintain existing brick and block and vernacular style structures
