CPCS Renewal Test

If you are an operator holding CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card which is pending for renewal basis then you must pass the CPCS renewal test.The Blue Card holders, who haven’t gone for renewal basis since 1 October 2013, have to appear for the CPCS renewal test.

When & Where Can One Take The CPCS Renewal Test?

The test must be taken anyhow before the expiration of the Blue Competent Operator Card. There has to be passing in each category’s module to get it added to your CPCS card.

 The test can be taken at the centres that allow HS&E test including the Pearson VUE test centres. This simply means that you can book and at the same time give HS&E test along with CPCS renewal test.

What you should keep in mind for on the test day?

There are a few important points that you have to keep in mind on the day of the exam. Failure of following any of it may lead to disqualification from the test. Here are the following points:

  • Reach your exam centre at least fifteen minutes before the commencement of your test
  • Don’t forget to bring along the confirmation letter/email
  • Bring a suitable ID which clearly shows your photo and signature

The staff present on duty will ensure that you have all the necessary documents. If any document is found invalid or messing with you then you will not be allowed to sit for the test. Also, your fee will not be refunded.

The CPCS renewal test is actually computer-based where you will have to choose the correct solution using a mouse or touching the screen

For the people who are trying out the first time can be worry free as you will be presented with an on-screen tutorial which will guide you on how things will work out. It will also let you be practical by trying out the buttons and computer.

There will be in total 15 plant-specific nodules and each module will consist of 15 questions. You will be given fifteen minutes to answer fifteen questions of each module.

What to know after the CPCS test?

Once you have successfully completed your CPCS test, you will be presented with a feedback survey that you can wish to complete after you leave the exam centre. You won’t have to wait for the results, as once your test has been completed, the score report would automatically be generated, letting you know whether you have cleared the module or not.
