How to apply

If you want to hold a valid one-day Site Safety Certificate, then you can apply for CSCS Health and Safty test.

If you want to work for any large-scale construction site in the UK, you must acquire a CSCS card. There are different types of cards including Apprentice, Experienced Worker, Labourer, Supervisor, Skilled Worker, and Manager cards.

For a valid CSCS card, you need to accomplish the followings steps:

  1. Qualifying Level 1 award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
  2. Qualify the CITB
  3. Make an online payment of the application fee

Level 1 Award is designed for learners working in, or aspiring to work in, the construction industry. It gives learners the knowledge to undertake their jobs safely.

The total qualification time (TQT) for this qualification is 29 hours, and of this 21 hours is recommended as guided learning (GL). Anyone over the age of 14 who has a basic level of literacy can enroll in the course.
