How long have you worked with CHL?
I’ve been working with Construction Helpline for just over a year now.
What is your main role at CHL?
My main role includes managing training program development and operational system improvement.
As Training Manager, what aspect of your job do you enjoy the most?
Some of the daily tasks I enjoy is engagement analysis to feed into program development and improving systems to support our team efficiency. Also, the idea of providing solutions to support customers professional development and giving them the best opportunities to advance in their career, such as taking a work-based NVQ to qualify for a Blue Skilled Worker CSCS card, through to a Gold Supervisor Card and ultimately a Black Managerial Card is something I take pride in.
How have you seen the company grow in the past year?
As with most businesses the pandemic has offered a unique set of challenges, but we have been fortunate within construction to be able to adapt our training formats to allow us to continue to support our customers. For example, an online version of our Level 1 award course for obtaining a Green Labourer Card was made available to our customers so they can continue to access construction site work and opportunities, regardless of the pandemic.
What do you like about working at CHL?
I’d honestly say working within a great team that all share the same mission of providing the best training provision for customers.
