Our main mission with our Skills Bootcamps, exclusively designed and delivered by Construction Helpline, is to upskill the next generation of construction professionals in an industry facing an impending skills gap. The Facts & Figures
The construction industry is among the fastest-growing sectors in the world, set to grow by 47% between 2020-2030. The UK sector alone is set to grow at an annual pace of 3.7% – for reference, this is equivalent to China’s industry which is at 3.8%. The main reason for the growth is due to growing demand and recent government partnerships on approval on new projects.
The government has pledged to build 300,000 new homes a year by the mid-2020s, which in itself provides huge demand of a workforce in order to meet this figure. With around 157,000 new construction roles expected to be created and 266,000 additional workers required to meet the UK construction demand by 2026, there is no better time to enter the construction industry.
According to the Construction Skills Network (CSN) report, 2.78 million workers will be employed in the construction industry by 2026 if the projected growth is fulfilled. All these facts and figures lead to a single conclusion – a need for more skilled workers in the industry.
The Solution – Our Free Skills Bootcamps
At Construction Helpline, we provide free training across a number of trades including Drylining, Bricklaying, Site Supervision and Carpentry. Candidates will undergo 6 weeks of training, with a chance to gain real world experience.
