Benefits of CITB and CITB Tests?
Applying for a CSCS Card is a simple process; however, you will have had to complete the appropriate CITB tests to do so. The tests aim to tests knowledge for on-site health and safety. The 45-minute test includes 50 touch-screen questions. Test takers will need a score of 90% or above to pass. The five core areas covered are:
- General Safety
- Health and Welfare
- Legal and Management
- Environment
- High Risk Activities
The tests are available in three levels of expertise:
- Operatives CITB Test – Prepares workers with knowledge on health and safety and environmental awareness, making them site-ready.
- Specialists CITB Test – This test offers the five core areas as well as specialist knowledge and testing on the specific trades relevant to the test takers (e.g. plumbing, tunnelling, demolition etc).
- Managers and Professionals CITB Test – in addition to the five core areas, the test covers professional construction topics such as:
- – Construction (design and management) regulations
- – Demolition
- – Highway works
The CSCS test and relevant courses include detailed studies and case specific examples which help candidates in gaining knowledge on health, safety and environmental issues so they are site ready. There is a continuous ad thorough review process by CITB to ensure the tests are providing the appropriate knowledge and key skills needed. This allows the training to ensure the candidates for all CITB CITB Tests are well-prepared with knowledge and training.

How To Prepare For CITB and CITB Tests?

Once you have passed your CITB test, we will do all the hard work for you. Construction Helpline will apply for your CSCS Card on your behalf and once the application has been approved, you will receive your CSCS Card.
